At our July MDS, which is the first meeting of the season for the RA we revealed the winners of the President's Trophy. After a secret member-ballot, there was a tie so the decision was made to award both members with the trophy this season.
We are proud to announce the winners of the President's Trophy are Secretary Aron Connolly and Media Officer Josh Brammer.
We asked Alex Walker, our president, to comment: "As President of Bury & North Manchester RA, I’m delighted to once again present the President’s Trophy. We’ve had a long tradition of recognizing and rewarding our members and the President’s Trophy has been an important part of this for 26 years. It is chosen by our members in a secret ballot, who nominate the member who, in their opinion, has contributed most to the association over the past season.
This year, for the first time, the ballot was tied between two dedicated committee members and we have therefore agreed to jointly award it to them both!
Josh Brammer has been a member since 2021 and joined the Management Committee last September. Since then, in a short space of time, he has completely revamped our online presence, including a variety of social media channels and our website. This has greatly enhanced our communication, both internally and to the wider football community.
Aron Connolly has been a member since 2019. He took over as Secretary in June 2023 and immediately became an extremely proactive and efficient Secretary. This vital role holds the Association together and co-ordinates everything, not least our committee meetings and Monthly Development Sessions, along with the more traditional but equally vital functions including correspondence with key stakeholders.
As well as jointly presenting the physical trophy (which they’ll have to share over the year!) we are also pleased to present each of them with £25 A&H International vouchers as a personal token of appreciation from all of their fellow members. Aron and Josh, thank you and well done!"

Congratulations to both Aron and Josh on their award - a thoroughly deserved award to both who have brought so much to Bury & North Manchester RA. We can confirm the winner of the Mike Garret Trophy will be announced at the next meeting, so make sure your there as the winner could be you!
