Founded in 1898 as Bury & District Referees' Association, we continue to evolve and progress to meet  the needs of local match officials both now and in the future. In February 2019, we changed our name to Bury and North Manchester Referees' Association, to reflect our support to referees in a wider area.

Our Aims are:

• to endeavour to improve the standard of refereeing

• to provide support, training and development so that the interpretation of the Laws of the game is as consistent as possible

• to advise, protect and further the interests of members
