We are proud to announce that Joshua Brammer has been promoted to Level 6. From starting at the young age of 15, Josh has been a member of Bury RA since he passed his referee course. Josh officiated endless amounts of games, sometimes refereeing 5 games per weekend! Josh's hard work and determination is an example for young officials that it is possible to develop and grow as a referee. Josh was most recently awarded by BNMRA with the M.J. Garrett Trophy at the end of last season, awarded to "The Most Deserving Junior Referee".

We asked our Chairman, Matt Clarke, to comment:

"Congratulations Josh on your promotion to level 6 - the first of many I’m sure on your refereeing journey! You have a great attitude towards refereeing and you are always eager to learn and improve on your game. You have gathered a lot of experience already in children’s, youth and women’s football and putting this to good use you have now made the step into men’s open age football and are doing very well! Keep up the good work, keep working hard, celebrate your promotion and enjoy the journey that you’re on! Well done Josh, we’re all very proud of you."

Josh is a dedicated member of Bury & North Manchester Referees' Association, attending most Monthly Development Sessions, as well as holding a position on the committee; through his dedication, he has achieved the step up to Level 6 at 17 years of age.
