We are proud to announce that Kaan Hayes has been promoted to Level 4. Through hard work, determination and strength, Kaan has shown that it is possible for young officials to achieve their goals as an official, reaching Step 5/6 football at the age of 19. Kaan will officiate his first game in the North West Counties at "Little Wembley", the ground of Nelson F.C.

We asked our Vice Chairman, Jason Rostron, to comment:

"Congratulations Kaan on your promotion to level 4. All your hard work has paid off. Starting on the Manchester Football League as soon as you turned 16 and never looked back. After your little setback in 2022, you came back stronger, went from strength to strength and gained your level 4 in 3 years. You’ve listened and learned so much on your short journey. Take all that now into the next part of your journey. Enjoy, you deserve it. Well done, everyone is so proud of you and your achievements."

Kaan is a dedicated member of Bury & North Manchester Referees' Association, attending most Monthly Development Sessions; through his dedication, he has achieved the step up to Semi-Professional football at 19 years of age.

Starting to officiate open age football at the young age of 16, Kaan gained experience in more than 100 games of football, preparing him for the step up. As an integral member of the Greater Manchester refereeing community, Kaan has inspired others to become better officials, develop and learn. Not only is Kaan a role model, but he is a true inspiration for others.

Everyone at Bury & North Manchester Referees' Association wishes Kaan the best of luck with his first fixture on the North West Counties Football League.
